Restaurant SY (Seafood Restaurant) – Batu Pahat

Batu Pahat is my boyfriends home town. Last week I travelled down to Batu Pahat in Johor for work. It was the third or fourth time in BP. My colleauges and I rated this as our favourite restaurant!

  • They have plenty of seating, but it’s a popular spot, so don’t come too late!
  • Deep fried shrimp, so yummy!
  • Fried tofu. Crispy on the outside, nice and silky on the inside!
  • Pork ribs – great eaten with rice.
  • Stir fried veges.
  • Er…forgot what dish this was!
  • Fried prawns with salted egg and pork floss!

There were 3 of us dining (2 girls 1 guy) and we ordered 3 dishes each time we dined there. It averaged around RM20 per pax as we ordered seafood both times and we were pretty full.

Unique Seafood (PJ) 奇怪海鮮

Truth is – we went there 2 weeks ago, but it’s so good I must do a review! When my mum and sister came from Taiwan to visit my bf and I in KL, this was one of the restaurants on our list to take them to. If you like seafood, specifically crab, you won’t regret coming here.

  • Like any good Chinese restaurant, each table gets peanuts and chillis RM4
    I thought they were free…
  • Mix Vege Loh Hon RM 23
    Fresh and flavourful vegetables (cheapest dish of the day)
  • 1. 7 Big Meat Crab with Butter Sauce RM115
    The sauce is to die for! Must dip bread into this sauce!
  • Deep Fried Bun RM4.50
    Worst decision ever was only ordering one portion of these babies.
0.5 Tiger Prawn Salted Egg RM55
If you love salted egg, you will love this dish! Because of the sauce, and how they cook it, you can eat the shell (yay no peeling!)
Eek! Ok, so definitely only for special occasions!
