KFC and McDonalds

Date: 25 August 2019

Hi everyone! So my bf is a Huge KFC fan, but normally I ban him from eating it when I’m around because it is just a bit too unhealthy for me! This weekend was an exception and he convinced me to have KFC with him for dinner and it was my first time trying KFC in Malaysia. This blog will talk about both KFC and McDonalds.

Here is what we ordered for our KFC dinner…

1 x Zinger Combo (One Zinger burger, wedges and a can of pepsi), 1 x 2 piece chicken hot and spicy, 1 x 5 piece nuggets, 1 x large coleslaw = RM 43.39 delivered (RM4 delivery fee).
  • The chicken and zinger burger – the highlight for me, chicken deep fried until really crispy but not oily at all!
  • Wedges and nuggets – a bit of a let down, prefer McD nuggets hands down.
  • Coleslaw – similar to the texas chicken one, my bf’s favourite side from them

There is a McDonalds close to my workplace, so I’ve had it twice for lunch with colleagues. Here is what I had…

2 pieces chicken rice set (came with coleslaw and a drink)

This was my first time eating fried chicken at a McDonalds AND with rice! It was surprisingly good (both the rice and the fried chicken)!

Nasi Lemak Set A Spicy

Second time around, I decided to order something with fried chicken and rice again because the first time was so good! But, for someone who can’t take spice I’m not quite sure what I was thinking ordering spicy chicken with my nasi lemak! It was good….but spicy! Personally the sambal in the nasi lemak was spicier than the chicken for me. Only recommended if you can take spicy food!

Food review summary

  • Really recommended to try some local flavours of McD and KFC if you’re visiting Malaysia (KFC recently came out with green chili crunch chicken)
